Week 8 - “Hands-On Fun”

It's all about hands today and this photo is one of my favorites. These are hands of a 65 year old scuba diver. He was showing the kids how a moon snail lives in and out of his shell. Check out the other great entries at I heart faces.

I could not pass up posting this photo. This Christmas season I worked as a photographer for a local Santa Land. This is Santa Phil (real beard) and my 10 & 12 year old. I am pretty sure they still believe in the magic of Christmas and I am pretty sure they believe because they see the joy it gives me!

I "Heart Faces" Photo Challenge

I am so excited at all the cool photos being submitted for this contest. The creativity is awesome. I had a ton of ideas in my head, but execution was a bit more challenging than I anticipated. Nevertheless, I was able to showcase a few of the favorite faces in my life - I hope you enjoy them.

29 Day Giving Challenge

Yesterday I was at the bookstore, a place I have adopted as my "sitting ground" during my daughter's soccer practice. I was in the "self-help" section - for some reason I am drawn to that area of the bookstore. I was attracted to the cover of the book 29 Gifts. I opened it up and stood there and read for the next 90 minutes. I was sucked into this book and the message it was espousing. If you have a chance please visit the website www.29gits.org. I will be posting my 29 gifts on-line. Which means by putting this in print, I kind of have to stick to it - that is a risk and one I am going to take. My first gift is this post. It is a gift to Cami and her cause. Thank you Cami, for making me realize I have a lot to give.

Week 43 - "Balloons" Photo Challenge

I am thinking this is a perfect photo for "Fix-it Friday". I would love to know how to eliminate shadows. Regardless, I could not pass up posting this photo featuring my niece.
